 Oliver Winconek | About me - I am a full-time artist, currently based in Ashford, Kent. My work is a bold mix of themes, materials and techniques. I am fascinated with colour and urban environments. I like to give an everyday scene a disquieting shift. Part of my work serves around creating a social commentary, based around such themes as the congestion charge, post office closure and peoples interaction with each other and their environment. Primarily I work in Acrylics and Spray Paint. My work varies from 'wall-based' to large scale public art.I have completed various public art projects up and down the country. I am represented by Opus Underground in Newcastle and Castle Arts in Canterbury. My work can always be seen at both of these venues as well as at various Art Fairs and exhibitions throughout the year. I am available for commission and produce work to any scale or quantity, typically I work to a very large scale as I feel this enhances the impact of a piece. |
